The INFINITI Lease Return Process

2023 INFINITI QX80

Leasing an INFINITI comes with a number of benefits for Glendale and Downey drivers, including lower monthly payments, extended warranty protections, and no-hassle returns. If your lease term is about to come to a close, you may be asking, “What should I do at the end of my car lease?” At INFINITI of Downtown LA, our INFINITI Lease Return Center makes it easy for you to return your vehicle to us. Here are the steps of the lease return process.

Schedule an Inspection

First, arrange an end-of-lease vehicle inspection 15 to 60 days before the maturity date. A certified inspector will assess the condition of your vehicle and determine if repairs are needed and whether you will be charged for any excessive wear and tear. If your inspector does find excess wear, you can always choose to have your INFINITI repaired before returning it. Call Alliance Inspection Management at 1-800-253-9026 or visit their website to make your inspection appointment.

Set Up an Appointment with INFINITI of Downtown LA

30 days prior to the end of your lease term, contact us to set up a lease return appointment. What steps do I take to end my car lease? We’ll go over your INFINITI end-of-lease options with you, and you can decide whether to return, replace, or purchase your lease. Don’t forget to bring a copy of the registration and the lease payment statement.

Fill Out a Federal Odometer and Lease Return Statement

At your appointment with us, you must complete a Federal Odometer and Lease Return Statement, which is required by both state and federal law. We also need this form to close out your lease account with us. Be sure to request and retain a copy of this important document.

Pay Any Fees or Charges

INFINITI lessees are responsible for any fees or remaining charges on their account. This includes excess wear and use costs, if applicable, and a $395 disposition fee. Once you pay the outstanding balance, the lease return process is complete. But bear in mind that you might receive other bills in the months ahead for any charges that weren’t reported at the time of the lease return, such as parking tickets or traffic violations. At this point, you might also want to contact the DMV to see if you need to return your license plates.
